Fr. Charles Louis de Preiter

Our first pastor, Fr. Charles dePreiter, served the parish from 1857-1872. He named the church St. Charles Borromeo after his patron saint. Fr. Charles was previously the pastor at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Ecorse.
